the idea has been zipping around in my head for a long time: start a blog, start a blog, start a blog…  easier said than done, right?  well, not really.  it’s so easy to do that it wasn’t a valid excuse anymore.  and so it begins.this blog is primarily about photography but also about the realization of my dream of living in new york city, happiness, cooking, self-realization and anything else that crosses my mind.  just over one week ago i arrived in nyc with 2 cats, a husband, a suitcase full of clothes, a coffee mug and a jug of water (there were some other things in the car, too, but the list is getting long).  although i’ve wanted to live in new york for almost as long as i can remember, i didn’t make the move until it was exactly the right time.  exactly the right time = getting a job with a company that would not only pay me to work there but also pay for my move.  i am incredibly fortunate – we have 3 months of temporary housing in an amazing building in Hells Kitchen where we can (i kid you not) see the STATUE OF LIBERTY as well as the empire state building.  there has been record heat here but i’ve been cool as a cucumber in the air conditioning.  i’ll repeat: i am incredibly fortunate.  last weekend i walked to central park and took some pictures; i’ve uploaded one of them here.
